Meet Dr. Dale Zuehlke
From Personal Healing to a Lifelong Calling
Dr. Zuehlke’s first experience with chiropractic care happened when he was just four years old. After his leg gave out suddenly, polio was suspected. But it wasn’t the hospital that resolved the issue—it was the family chiropractor, who found a pinched nerve in his hip. That moment stuck.
Years later, as a young adult battling severe migraines, Dr. Zuehlke found relief again through chiropractic. His chiropractor recognized his natural hands-on talent and encouraged him to pursue the field. At the time, Dr. Zuehlke had tried other paths—real estate, retail, politics—but nothing felt right. In 1979, he enrolled at the National College of Chiropractic. By 1987, he had opened his own practice on Diversey Avenue, where he remains today.

Originally from Michigan, Dr. Zuehlke has called Illinois home since 1969. He’s passionate about nutrition, whole foods, and the natural lifestyle. For over 60 years, he has cooked from scratch, baked his own bread, and followed a health-conscious lifestyle long before it became popular.
He also maintains a strong interest in holistic philosophy and metaphysical study. Whether you’re talking about spinal alignment or the writings of Edgar Cayce, he’s always up for a thoughtful conversation—especially if there’s a good meal involved.
